Career

In 2004, Fischer’s mother sent a demo CD to artist manager Uwe Kanthak. He got in touch with producer Jean Frankfurter and Fischer was signed to a recording contract. She had her television premiere on May 14, 2005 on Ersten at the folk music wedding festival. In the program she sang a duet with Florian Silbereisen. Her first album “Von hier bis unendlich” was released on February 3, 2006. The lyrics were written by Irma Holder and Kristina Bach.

Fischer took first place at the MDR Summer Hits Night 2007 and also reached number one in the MDR hit parade with the song Im Reigen der Gefühle. In July 2007, MDR dedicated the music film So nah, so fern to her, featuring her current tracks from the album of the same name. The film was released on DVD in September 2007. One day later, she received two awards for her two albums Von hier bis unendlich and So nah wie du gold.

At the three-day SWR4 Rheinland-Pfalz Schlagermarathon 2007, she came third with the title Mitten im Paradies and ninth and twelfth with two other titles. In January 2008, she was awarded the Krone der Volksmusik in the category “Most Successful Female Singer of the Year 2007”. She went platinum for her album Von hier bis unendlich. With the title “Und morgen früh küss ich dich wach” she reached second place in the spring hit parade of NDR 1 Niedersachsen.

Another milestone was November 2017, when Helene Fischer received her third Bambi. Her album “Helene Fischer” crowned 2017 as the most successful album and topped the annual charts. The period from September 2017 to March 2018 was dominated by her tour, during which she presented her latest album in 63 concerts. Private life

Helene Fischer was born in Krasnoyarsk, Siberia, in 1984 as the second child of the Russian-German couple Maria and Peter Fischer. Her father worked as a sports teacher, her mother as an engineer at a university. Fischer’s grandparents were Black Sea Germans who were deported to Siberia in 1941 during the Second World War. In 1988, her parents moved with her and her six-year-old sister from the Soviet Union to Wöllstein in Rhineland-Palatinate. As a pupil at Wörrstadt secondary school, she took part in theater and musical clubs.

After graduating from high school in 2000, Fischer completed a three-year training course at the Stage & Musical School Frankfurt in Frankfurt am Main, which she completed in 2003 with the stage maturity examination as a trained musical actress. She received her first engagements during her training. She performed at the Staatstheater Darmstadt in the Rocky Horror Show, at the Volkstheater Frankfurt in the hit revue Fifty-Fifty and in the musical Anatevka.

Fischer had been in a relationship with Florian Silbereisen since May 2008. The two were considered the “dream couple of German pop music” and were often the subject of speculative headlines in the tabloid press. In December 2018, they announced that they had been separated for some time but were still friends. Fischer announced that her new partner was aerialist Thomas Seitel, with whom she works in her stage shows. The two married in December 2021 and became parents to a daughter in the same month.
