Career

Luna started piano lessons at the age of ten and soon became interested in hip-hop. Luna was inspired and mainly recorded on the piano compositions with beats. She released her first own songs via various music streaming services. Luna chose her stage name because Luna stands for a Roman goddess of the moon and she identifies as a night person. In addition to the piano, she also plays guitar and has set up a small recording studio set up a small recording studio. She graduated from the Auersperg-Gymnasium Passau Freudenhain in 2021.

In 2018, she took part in the “Your Song for One World” competition organized by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) for the first time. Her song “Alle gleich” together with Mika made it into the top 20 and was released on the competition album. Luna then presented her song at the official closing of the competition on June 21 at the One World Festival in Berlin’s Admiralspalast.

The up-and-coming musician released her first single “Viel leichter” in 2019 via the distribution platform Spinnup.

In 2020, she took part in “Your Song for One World” again and came third in the competition with her song “Mother Earth”. The song was also released on the “One World Album”.

When Luna released a 50-second piano version of her song “Loser” on the video platform TikTok, musicians like Nico SantosFynn Kliemann, Julien Bam, Die Lochis and Lea became aware of the video and the song. Luna was then signed by the musician Lea to her label. After signing a record deal with the music label Four Music/Treppenhaus, she officially released the song on November 27, 2020.

In January 2021, Luna performed on the acoustic version of the number one hit Highway by Katja Krasavice and Elif with. Her song “Verlierer” was also nominated for the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Award in the category Favorite Earworm: Germany, Austria, Switzerland. Luna has given interviews and appeared on World Wide Wohnzimmer, Diffus, DigsterPop and Jam FM.

On April 30, Bayerischer Rundfunk broadcast a 30-minute documentary about her. Her new single ‘blau’ was released on July 16, 2021 and is about her own coming out. The single is a universal statement about having the courage to stand up for yourself. In September, she won the ARD New Music Award together with Leony. She also performed on stage in front of 50,000 demonstrators at the Fridays for Future climate demonstration at the Bundestag in Berlin in September 2021. In November, she and Lea released their first single together , “Küsse wie Gift”.

In 2022, Luna was at the side of the artist DIKKA on the album “Boom Schakkalakka”. She sang the track “Glücklich”.
