Marie Reim

Marie Reim was born Marie-Louise Oberloher on May 8, 2000 in Cologne. She is a German pop singer and had her first performances as a child. Her parents Michelle and Matthias Reim laid the musical vein in her cradle.

Career

In 2012, she made her first television appearance with her mother in Florian Silbereisen’s show Das Herbstfest der Überraschungen together with her mother. She performed the song Gib nicht auf. Three years later, she sang the song “Zieh vor dir selber den Hut” in the show 150 Jahre Schlager. In 2016, she performed on stage with her mother at the “Schlager Night of the Year” at the Lanxess Arena in Cologne. At the beginning of 2017, she accompanied her mother on tour. She sang a song with her at every concert. Although she is trained as a fitness trainer, music, especially pop songs, remains her passion and preferred career choice.

In January 2018, she signed a record deal with Ariola. In February 2020, she released her first single “SOS”. The song was written by the writing team Tim Peters, Werner Petersburg and Alexander Scholz. The three have already worked together with her parents. The track was produced by Silverjam. Her debut album “14 Phasen” was released in June 2020, followed by several TV appearances. In September 2020, she had her first live performance at the Waldbühne Rügen. Her manager, Uwe Kanthak, accompanies her.

Release in October 2023 Tim Peters and Marie Reim released the video and the single “Jemand träumt von dir”. On stage and on Instagram, the two not only sing, but also flirt. However, both sides deny a possible relationship.

In 2021, 2023 and 2024, Marie Reim was on the program “The Giovanni Zarrella Show” hosted by Giovanni Zarrella was hosted. In 2024, Marie will participate as an artist in the pop event “The pop night of the year 2024” will take part.

Marie took part in the German preliminary round for the ESC 2024 in Sweden on February 16, 2024 with the song “Naiv”. Her aim was to follow in the footsteps of her mother Michelle, who competed at the ESC in 2001 with the song “Wer Liebe lebt” and finished in eighth place. Unfortunately, Marie did not make it through the overall ranking of the preliminary round and finished in 6th place. Marie wrote the song “Naiv” together with her good friend, singer-songwriter Tim Peters. Tim Peters also produced the song.

Life

Marie Reim was born in 2000 as the daughter of pop singers Michelle and Matthias Reim. Michelle kept her civil surname Oberloher from her first marriage. Marie grew up mainly in Cologne and moved out of her parents’ house at the age of 15. She speaks Dutch, as she lived in Best in the Netherlands for a year and attended school there. Marie Reim has six half-siblings, including the pop singer Julian Reim. She has two other half-sisters on her mother’s side.
