Career of Ella Endlich

In June 1998, at the age of 14, she received her first recording contract with Columbia Records, Sony. She chose Junia as her stage name in reference to her birth month. Her first single “It’s Funny” was released in 1999 and reached number 17 in the German singles charts and number 21 in the Swiss singles charts. Further singles followed. During this time, she was a guest on Viva, The Dome and the Harald Schmidt Show.

In October 2001, she began her studies at the Bavarian Theater Academy August Everding in Munich. During her studies, she appeared in “And the World Goes Round” in Kander/Ebbs and was part of the ensemble for the Bregenz Festival productions of “La Bohème” and “West Side Story” in 2001 and 2002. She appeared in “City of Angels” at the Prinzregententheater in Munich and at the Theater Erfurt. She completed her intermediate diploma in classical singing and from then on gave singing lessons herself. In 2005, she completed her musical studies at the Bavarian Theater Academy. She received an award from Vicky Hall for her final project “Man muß nur drüber reden”. This was followed by singing competitions, from which she emerged as a prizewinner.

From 2005 to 2009, she appeared in the musicals “Heidi” (as Tinette), “Sweet Charity” (as Betzy), “Grease” (as Sandy) and “Princess Lillifee and the Magic of the Rose” (as Lillifee). She has appeared in various roles in “Best of Musicals”. At the Altonaer Theater in Hamburg, she played the role of Hermine in the play “Der Steppenwolf” based on Hermann Hesse. This was followed by other comedic plays such as “Sylt – ein Irrtum Gottes?” at the Hamburg Kammerspiele and “Bauch, Beine, Po” by Dietmar Loeffler.

In 2009, she changed her stage name to Ella Endlich. The name is made up of the first names of her grandmother’s cousins, Eleonore and Hella, and her father’s surname. In 2009, she began working closely with her father Norbert Endlich at Hansa Studios Berlin, which is why she incorporated his surname into her future stage name. This was followed by the founding of her own label “UNENDLICH MUSIK”.

In November 2009, she released “Küss mich, halt mich, lieb mich”, her first single as Ella Endlich. Her German-language interpretation of the film score “Drei Haselnüsse für Aschenbrödel” by composer Karel Svoboda was the first to be authorized by his heirs. With the lyrics by Mark Hiller, the symbiosis into a song was achieved for the first time. The song reached number 12 in the German charts. The single went gold and Endlich appeared on various German television shows.

In 2010, she released her first album as Ella Endlich, “Da”, which reached number 53 in the German album charts. In October 2011, she released her second album “Meilenweit”, which reached number 94 in the charts. The EP “Wintercollage” was released in 2012. Her third album “Die süße Wahrheit” was released in June 2014, and at the end of 2014 she changed music label, management and producers. In 2016, the album “Träume auf Asphalt” was released by Universal. In February 2016, she took part in the German preliminary round of the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 with the song “Adrenalin”.

From January to May 2018, she was a judge in the 15th season of “DSDS – Germany is looking for the superstar”. In September 2018, Endlich released her fifth studio album “Im Vertrauen”. It is the first album she has released on her own label Unendlich Musik and for which she wrote all the lyrics. For this album, she has exclusively engaged renowned producers who have already worked with artists such as DJ Bobo, Andrea Berg, Yvonne Catterfeld, Tim Bendzko, Lena and Sarah Connor have worked together.

She took her time to find the right partners with whom the feeling was right. “It was like a poetry slam when I came into the studio with my lyrics. I recited them and one after the other made music to them.” The result was a sound that breathes poetry and humor, radiates lightness and joie de vivre – like a summer evening by the lake.

Ella spent her time in Berlin Kreuzberg in a colorful shared flat with travesty artists and indulged in the typical Berlin nightlife. But now she loves the day. So you can see her whizzing through her new favorite territory in her summer mobile, an old VW Beetle.

In 2019, Endlich took part in the 12th season of the RTL dance show “Let’s Dance”. She came second with her dance partner Valentin Lusin. In April 2022, she won the sixth season of “The Masked Singer ” on ProSieben as “Zebra”. Her sixth studio album “Sternschwimmer” was released on June 17, 2022.

The Sternschwimmer tour planned for 2023 was canceled due to her pregnancy. In June 2023, she became the mother of a son. Today, she values the quiet moments at Wannsee, which she sees as turning points in her life and which help her to focus on what is important: the growth of her soul. “A new beginning starts with letting go of things that no longer belong to you.” In the book written by Giovanni Zarrella hosted program “The Giovanni Zarrella Show” Ella was a guest in the same year.
