Jan Böckmann, born 10.09.1991 in Garthe near Emstek (Lower Saxony), is a German musician and singer-songwriter. singer-songwriterwho has made a name for himself with soulful pop ballads and authentic lyrics. He originally worked as a bricklayer and plasterer in the family business before deciding to pursue his passion for music. He became known through his participation in the casting show “DSDS – Deutschland sucht den Superstar“, in which he made it through to the semi-finals.

After health setbacks – including vocal cord problems and an operation – as well as personal challenges such as a failed marriage and depression, Böckmann released his debut single in September 2023 “Sonnensegler”. The song, produced by Jan Laacks, is characterized by a mixture of acoustic guitar, piano and modern pop elements. The release marked the start of his professional music career.
