Ben Zucker, whose real name is Benjamin Fritsch and who was born in Ueckermünde on August 4, 1983, is a German singer-songwriter. pop singer– and rock singer. Zucker” is not the pop star’s real name, but a stage name. Ben Zucker’s pseudonym was inspired by the 2004 movie “Alles auf Zucker”.

Career

Ben Zucker grew up in East Berlin and lived in the Mitte district. He has two younger siblings, Sarah and Manuel. He moved to West Germany with his family shortly before the fall of the Berlin Wall. He later returned to Berlin and lived in a squat.

He started at the age of 14, guitar to play guitar. He initially covered English grunge and rock songs and then switched to German songs. Together with Thorsten Brötzmann and Roman Lüth, Zucker produced his debut album “Na und?!” as well as the single of the same name in March 2017. The single was premiered on the show presented by Florian Silbereisen“Schlagercountdown” show hosted by Florian Silbereisen and reached number 21 in the iTunes charts within a few minutes. The album entered the German album charts at number 32 at the end of June 2017 and reached number four in June 2018.

Ben Zucker was nominated for two Echo Pop categories in 2018: “Newcomer national” and “Schlager”. He accompanied Helene Fischer on her stadium tour in 2018.

His second album “Wer sagt das?!” was released on June 7, 2019. With the encore edition ‘Wer sagt das? Zugabe!’, he reached the top of the German album charts for the first time in May 2020.

His third album “Jetzt erst recht!” was released on April 16, 2021. Ben Zucker reached number 1 in the German album charts for the second time with this album. The album entered at number 4 in Austria and reached number 5 in Switzerland.

In 2021, 2022 and 2023, Ben Zucker was a guest on the program “The Giovanni Zarrella Show”hosted by Giovanni Zarrella. In December 2023, Ben sang the song “Livin’ on a Prayer” together with Helene Fischer in the Helene Fischer Show.

In 2024, Ben will take part as an artist in the pop event “The pop night of the year 2024” will take part.
