Moderate

Inhaltsverzeichnis

Moderat is a Berlin music group. It was formed in 2002 from the merger of the musician Apparat (Sascha Ring) and the DJ duo Modeselektor (Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary).

After a break-up, they were only able to release their debut album entitled “Moderat” in 2009 after reuniting. The second album “II” was released at the beginning of August 2013 on Modeselektor’s Monkeytown Records label. In the USA, the album was released on the Mute label. It reached the charts in Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark and the UK. In Germany, it entered the album charts at number 10 in the first week after its release.

At the end of March 2016, the third album “III” was also released on Monkeytown Records. Marco Maurer wrote that the album proves that the group Moderat is still fantastic. Apparat’s voice and the sound and mood of the album sound like George Michael. After extensive tours, including in France, the band announced that they would be taking a longer creative break from September 2017.

On May 13, 2022, the fourth studio album “More D4ta” was released, which reached the top ten of various album charts. Fast Land, Easy Prey and More Love were released as singles.
