Vincent Gross<\/strong>, born on August 23, 1996 in Basel, is a well-known Swiss pop singer. pop singer<\/a><\/span><\/strong> and musician with North German roots who pop hits<\/a><\/span><\/strong> sings pop hits. His father is a deacon and his mother studied theology. Gross was born and grew up in Switzerland. He already showed musical talent as a child. At the age of four, he played the ukulele and used cooking pots as drums. He continued his musical education with lute lessons and in the children’s church choir. Alongside his musical career, the 1.77-metre-tall Vincent began studying psychology at the University of Basel, but dropped out after three semesters. He initially shied away from showing his music to his friends and instead posted it on YouTube under a pseudonym. The positive reactions motivated him to take part in the Swiss Talent Award<\/strong> in 2014. In 2015, he was voted Newcomer of the Year by the audience of the TV show Hello Again<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n

In 2016, he took part in the Swiss preliminary round of the Eurovision Song Contest with the song Half a Smile<\/em> and came third. In the same year, Gross signed his first record deal with Ariola\/Sony Music Germany. His debut album R\u00fcckenwind<\/em> was released in March 2017 and marked the start of his career. The second album M\u00f6wengold<\/em> followed in August 2018, which took him on an extensive tour of Germany, Austria and Switzerland. His singles Dieser Beat<\/em> and Nordlichter<\/em> achieved excellent positions in the German airplay charts, with Nordlichter<\/em> topping the charts for seven weeks. <\/p>\n\n

In 2020, Gross switched to Telamo and released several successful singles, including \u00dcber uns die Sonne<\/em>, which spent eight weeks at number 1 in the German airplay charts. His third album Hautnah<\/em> was released in January 2021 and entered the top 10 of the German album charts. It reached number 1 in Switzerland. <\/p>\n\n

In addition to his musical career, Gross has also been active as a presenter since 2020. He started the talk show Stars um 10 Hautnah<\/em> on “Schlager f\u00fcr alle” and has hosted Das gro\u00dfe Musikquiz<\/em> on the ARD program Immer wieder sonntags<\/em> since 2021. He has received several awards for his work, including the SMAGO Award and the SWR4 Newcomer Award. He also received the No.1 award from the Swiss Hit Parade for his album Hautnah<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n

On October 7, 2022, Gross released his fourth album Frei<\/em> on Telamo. In 2023, he took part in the show Die Verr\u00e4ter – Vertraue Niemandem!<\/em> and emerged as one of the two winners. After starting out as a loyal contestant, his good friend Anna-Carina Woitschack<\/strong><\/a><\/span> into the traitor camp. In the end, the two pop stars emerged as the winners of the show. <\/p>\n\n
