Jan B\u00f6ckmann<\/strong>, born 10.09.1991 in Garthe near Emstek (Lower Saxony), is a German musician and singer-songwriter. singer-songwriter<\/a><\/span><\/strong>who has made a name for himself with soulful pop ballads<\/strong> and authentic lyrics. He originally worked as a bricklayer and plasterer in the family business before deciding to pursue his passion for music. He became known through his participation in the casting show “DSDS – Deutschland sucht den Superstar<\/a><\/span><\/strong>“, in which he made it through to the semi-finals. <\/p>\n\n

After health setbacks – including vocal cord problems and an operation – as well as personal challenges such as a failed marriage and depression, B\u00f6ckmann released his debut single in September 2023 “Sonnensegler”<\/strong><\/em>. The song, produced by Jan Laacks, is characterized by a mixture of acoustic guitar, piano and modern pop elements. The release marked the start of his professional music career. <\/p>\n\n

This was followed in May 2024 by the single “Get up”<\/strong><\/em>which is about hope and new beginnings. The song, also produced by Jan Laacks, shows B\u00f6ckmann’s development towards a more mature sound. In April 2025, he released “Real Tears”<\/strong><\/em>a ballad that deals with the subject of heartache. <\/p>\n\n

B\u00f6ckmann’s musical style can be categorized as German-language pop<\/a><\/span><\/strong> whereby he combines elements from singer-songwriter traditions with modern productions. His lyrics are personal and emotional and often inspired by his own experiences. He cites artists such as Johannes Oerding and Tim Bendzko as musical role models. <\/p>\n\n

His singles have been released under the MORE MUSIC & MEDIA label. B\u00f6ckmann actively uses social media such as Instagram and TikTok to connect with his audience and provide insights into his musical work). <\/p>\n\n
