Black Coffee<\/strong>, real name Nkosinathi Innocent Maphumulo<\/strong>, born on March 11, 1976 in Durban, South Africa, is a DJ<\/strong> and music<\/strong> producer. \n \n music producer<\/a>\n <\/span>\n<\/strong>. His meteoric rise on the international music scene began in 2017 when his album “Subconsciously” won the Grammy in the “Best Dance\/Electronic Album” category. <\/p>\n\n

In his youth, which was marked by the separation of his parents and a politically motivated attack, Black Coffee developed his love of music. After moving to Mthatha, he studied music in Durban and founded the vocal trio “Shana”. It was during this time that his affinity for \n \n electronic music<\/a>\n <\/span>\n<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

His participation in the Red Bull Music Academy in 2003 was decisive for his career. His first album “Black Coffee” was released two years later and laid the foundation for his international recognition.
