Joel Brandenstein<\/strong> was born on February 26, 1984. He is a German \n \n pop singer<\/a>\n <\/span>\n<\/strong> and songwriter from Ratingen who became known via the Internet. <\/p>\n\n

Career<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

Joel Brandenstein began his musical career around 2008 by publishing music on the internet. In May 2011, he opened his own YouTube channel, on which he presented cover versions of German and English ballads that he performed himself on the piano. \n \n piano<\/g>\n <\/g>\n<\/g> himself on the piano. Some of these videos achieved impressive viewing figures, including his version of \n \n Max Herre’s<\/a>\n <\/span>\n<\/strong> “Wolke 7” with over 6 million views. <\/p>\n\n

In 2014, Joel Brandenstein took the plunge into self-employment and released his first single “Diese Liebe”. Thanks to targeted online marketing and an appealing music video, the self-written song attracted a lot of attention. Within a few days, the song made it into the top 5 of the German iTunes charts and was also successful in Switzerland and Austria. In the Christmas week, the song entered the top 20 of the German singles charts. <\/p>\n\n

The second half of the year brought further success with the songs “Grenzenlos” and “Lebenskraft”. Two successful collaborations followed in 2016, including a cover version of Glasperlenspiel’s “Nie vergessen”. Two and a half years after his debut, he released his debut album “Emotionen” in April 2017, which immediately entered the German album charts at number 1. The accompanying album tour sold out within a very short space of time and was extended by 20 concerts. <\/p>\n\n

On May 8, 2020, Joel Brandenstein surprised everyone with the duet “Der Himmel rei\u00dft auf”<\/strong> with German pop singer \n \n Vanessa Mai<\/a>\n <\/span>\n<\/strong>. The single immediately made it to number 89 in the German singles charts and Joel Brandenstein returned to the charts after four years, most recently in May 2016 with “Bis meine Welt die Augen schlie\u00dft”. <\/p>\n\n

In 2022, Joel was a guest on \n \n Giovanni Zarrella<\/a>\n <\/span>\n<\/strong> hosted by Giovanni Zarrella \n \n “The Giovanni Zarrella Show”<\/a>\n <\/span>\n<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

“Schwarz & Bunt” entered the German charts at number 2 at the beginning of 2023, but fell out of the top 100 just one week later. The voice of the self-confessed Christian sounds great and the delivery gives the impression that something important is happening. The lyrics at least have the form and vocabulary of something sad. Instead of alternating the flow of the same old digital ballad beats, he just roars as much as he can in song after song. <\/p>\n\n

In December 2023, Joel and the German pop singer \n \n Sarah Engels<\/a>\n <\/span>\n<\/strong> the duet “Someone”.<\/p>\n\n
